Floods in India and Pakistan
The Floods in India and Pakistan held after heavy rainfalls in Northern areas of India and Pakistan. Kashmir valley is the most effected area by the floods in which more than 300 people have lost their lives.
The heavy monsoon rainfall was neither predicted nor expected by the weather experts.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kashmir Valley where he had a brief meeting with the Chief Minister of Kashmir, He ordered to rescue every single effected person of the floods, In his statement he also offers Indian aid to Pakistan to rescue flood effected people in Azad Kashmir which was later rejected by Chief Minister of Azad Kashmir, he also wrote a letter to PM Nawaz Shareef offering Indian services to Pakistan. However, Modi's proposal is highly criticized in Pakistan because NDMA (National Disaster Managing Authority) has accused India to be the responsible of the floods in Pakistan because according to them Indian Government left the water from their dams to the Pakistan rivers without even alarming the Pakistani officials which they said India is fettered to do according to the water distribution agreement they had. In reply, Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has also propose a proposal to India, where they offer Pakistan's aid to Indian Government, In their statement they give some well wishes for the Kashmiri people and said that they are with Kashmiri people in this difficult moment.
Pakistan has faced more worst situation on his part since after the heavy monsoon rainfall nearly half of Punjab has drown into water. More than 150 people have lost their lives in the natural disaster. Punjab Government has declared emergency in the whole province whereas Sindh has also declared civil emergency in areas which are near Indus River. NDMA has warned Sindh Government that the flood water shall hit Sindh with at least 900,000 cubic feet. In prevention, Mr. Zardari Co-Chairperson of Peoples Party has advice Chief Minister Sindh Mr. Qaim Ali Shah to do every possibly thing to prevent flood damages.
